Degree Programs

Elder Grove Seminary is an online institute of higher learning for Druid and Pagan education. We primarily use a modified, online form of the Oxford Method, meaning that each student is assigned at least one mentor throughout the degree process. The mentor then assigns reading materials and exercises, and gets together with the student afterwards (online) to discuss the assignments.

While the courses themselves are self-paced, allowing students to progress in their own time and in their own way, each course is guided by the student’s mentor. Most courses also include experiential activities that the student may try at home. Students can complete courses as quickly as they wish, or they may take as long as they need to process the materials.

We also have a Student Forum that allows for interaction among students and faculty. For classes in which more than one student are enrolled, you may visit the forum to discuss the materials with fellow students.

Unlike other traditional programs of higher learning, students create their own programs at Elder Grove Seminary. Under the guidance of your mentor, you choose which courses are of interest to you. Your mentor may make suggestions, but ultimately the choice of course content is up to you.
