Elder Grove Seminary offers a variety of scholarships to help students who have financial need. You may apply for these scholarships by completing the application below. Please note that students are only eligible to receive one scholarship per year.
The Order of the Myrddin Scholarship
This scholarship offers full tuition (minus cost of books, supplies, and fees for intensives) for one outstanding student per year. The Order of the Myrddin is Elder Grove’s Honor Society. This prestigious scholarship is awarded each year at Samhain.
The Elder Grove Founding Mentors Scholarship
As Elder Grove Seminary is a new institution of higher learning, we are in need of teachers and instructors. To fill this need, we are offering free tuition for up to five scholars per year to meet this need. What this means is that Founding Mentors scholars get free tuition for their entire program at Elder Grove Seminary, through the doctoral degree, in exchange for teaching at Elder Grove Seminary upon graduation.
Recipients of this scholarship contract to teach for one year for each 48 credit hours of free tuition they receive. The average Bachelor’s program at Elder Grove is 120 credit hours (four years). The average Master’s program at Elder Grove is 60 credit hours (two years) and the average Doctorate is another 60 credit hours (another two years).
So if you received an Elder Grove Founding Mentors Scholarship from Bachelors Degree through Doctorate, you would have completed a minimum of 240 credit hours, and would be contracted to teach at Elder Grove Seminary for five years.
Elder Grove Founding Mentors scholarship recipients get free tuition (minus cost of books, supplies, and fees for intensives) for up to five years (the length of a degree program from Bachelors to Doctorate). In return, they would contract to teach at least two classes at Elder Grove for the five years following their graduation.
Upon graduation, recipients of this scholarship would still be paid the same rates that all other faculty members receive for teaching duties. This scholarship offers full tuition (minus cost of books, supplies, and fees for intensives) for up to five students per year.
Work Study Scholarships
Work study students are entitled to a 50% discount on tuition for each year they participate in the program. Work study duties vary, but include things like mentoring students, administrative duties, promotional and media duties, and other forms of assistance.
These are awarded on a case-by-case basis to students who have a demonstrated financial need. Merit scholars must be active in their local ministry by serving as a leader in a Grove or Circle.
